Having powered 835m through marl and gravel, AVN 1800 microtunnel \u00ab Magali \u00bb successfully finished tunnelling this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n This curved section is the longest and largest microtunnel in the 9km long CanaMarne project (3km microtunnel, 6km open trenches) which will improve drainage around Paris Charles de Gaulle airport by redirecting rainwater through gravity-flow tunnels to a treatment plant and then to the River Marne.<\/p>\n OPTIMUM initially supported SADE\u2019s project teams for the microtunnel works by defining a precise geotechnical model, design engineering and comprehensive target pressures through the drive. Since construction works began, a dedicated team of OPTIMUM\u2019s trenchless specialists has monitored the microtunnelling operations throughout.
