A real pleasure to be at the DCA Congress last week, in Bamberg, Germany. OPTIMUM was a sponsor, facilitator and presenter at this year’s 3-day event, which brought together trenchless engineers, drilling contractors and suppliers under the theme “Even drillers need rules”, a subject which sparked insightful discussions and lively debates.
Together with Nicolas Blanc from RTE, François Gandard and Melvil Ivorra from OPTIMUM presented an engaging case study on the trenchless work involved in the recent Celtic Interconnector project, the first HDVC inter-connection between Ireland and continental Europe.
On Thursday, Alexandre Cambier helped facilitate the “Soil investigations” workshop and François Gandard “Pull forces”. Having participants from across Europe at the Congress brought fresh perspectives and new ideas that will no doubt help grow the industry – and that’s good news for all of us !
The congress was also the perfect moment to launch OPTIMUM’s new German language website.
