Launched in 2018 by François Gandard and Alexandre Cambier, OPTIMUM shook up the French trenchless market by successfully applying a process rarely used in the industry. The energy and utility sectors quickly embraced these early projects, fuelling rapid growth and fostering increased collaboration on major new ventures.
In 2023, OPTIMUM continued its expansion with the opening of an office in Toulouse, strengthening its presence in southwestern France. Led by Guillaume Bezombes, the OPTIMUM South West team brings valuable expertise, particularly in navigating the region’s unique and complex geological challenges.
Today, the company is a recognised industry leader, its expertise being in high demand both in France and abroad. OPTIMUM is also an active and valued member of key European trade groups, such as the DCA (Drilling Contractors Association), the FSTT (France Sans Tranchée Technologies) and the USG (Union Syndicale Géotechnique).
